Does this mean what I think it means?

It means on the surface that it is very refreshing to hear good news from a distant country. If you take it deeper, it means that Jesus is the source of life, Who makes it possible for the Holy Spirit to take up residence in the human spirit and create in us a fountain of living water so that we need never thirst again. This life comes to us from a distant country -- the spiritual realms -- and when we receive that life, the distant country becomes our home.
