Smith College or Northeastern?

Any degree from Smith would be respected but it is not widely-known that Smith has engineering, even though they certainly do. As for the quality of education, I don't see what they teach differently at Smith than what they teach at Northeastern or MIT for that matter. The greatest difference is that Smith is in a rural, extremely liberal setting and Northeastern is in a major city. Smith also has a significant proportion of lesbian students. I am certainly not implying that there is anything wrong with that but if you're not accepting of such an environment, you may want to consider Northeastern.
